...what toxins is this releasing into our environment?

...Well then. That's quite a sight to see. Whatever happened to "save the environment"?
I think that the burning of the oil in the Gulf was a rather unsmart move on the people who were trying to clean up's part, because when the oil was burned, what kind of poisonous fumes was that releasing into the air, not to mention the water. This plan was headed for disaster from the moment it started, with more negative impacts then positive. I'm glad that they realized that burning the oil wasn't too great of an idea and stopped trying it.

I think the problem is that clean up needs more donations towards creating more effective, easier and less-pollution-ing ways too ensure that the way they clean-up the oil spills are safe,secure and wont cause any/minimal damage to the marine life! If we had a different more safer way to clean up the oil spills it would be much more effective!
