I never really thought about Oil spills. I remeber hearing about them somewhere in the news. I know that they harm the earth and cause pollution, but I have never really gave it a second thought.This greatly disturbs me now that I know exactly how much this affects our planet. Especially the after effects of such an event. For an example the Oil spill in the gulf of Mexico scientists hypothesize that the effects of the oil spill will last for decades. I wonder how many other people dont give a second thought when they listen to the news and hear about oil spills and other natural disasters?
