Lets Play The Blame Game Shall We?

Each year you hear about oil and gas leakages. They are environmental unfriendly and takes a huge economic toll down with it! I don't understand why we insist on transporting oil on ships that may sink with each haul. 800,000 gallons a day was the estimate for the oil spill in the gulf of Mexico. One underestimated number to the next and almost no way of stopping it. Even with all that everyone is working towards saving. That one oil spill was obviously to remind of us the dangers once again. So why hadn't we listened? I have to say it is hard for me to watch more and more animals become infected with our oil and dieing because of our stupidity or negligence of the fact that oil can be dangerous. I guess we think that because it wont hurt us directly it cant do any damage. We seem oblivious to the fact that its our fault and deny causing it. Let play the blame game instead.... it was the boat's captain, the oil industry, even the ocean is being blamed for the oil running through our oceans. This isn't fair is it?  Who uses/purchases the oil? Us. Who abuses the natural resource starting fires and burning it? Us. Who are the ones to blame exactly for the shipping malfunctions.? Us. Play the blame game all you want but i believe we should spend more of our time trying to help protect our resource and wildlife as well as finding alternatives to shipping our oil.
