Animals Caught up in Oil

Wow!  That is so upsetting when you see pictures such as these of oil spills.  Many animals are effected when an oil spill occurs, not just the ones living in the water.  Birds such as the ones in the pictures main food source is in the water.  If their food source dies out they will have to find other ways to get food or they will die out.  Or animals that near water, which is most wildlife, will be effected as well.  During the time of the oil spill in the gulf of mexico, the mississippi delta was in danger of being caught up in the oil.  It is home to many animals and their homes would have been destroyed.  During the oil spill in mexico, volunteers managed to save lots of animals but many were lost.
