Have people not learned anything yet?!?

2 otters caught in an oil spill

Oil spills are dangerous and everyone knows that... but has anybody learned anything yet from the past oil spills like the one in the Gulf of Mexico? Everyone says they learned something but did they really? No, they did not, just before the oil spill in occured in the gulf of Mexico people have said that they would not let this happen again and they won't send oil over the oceans, lakes. You can tell easily that they did not mean what they have said or else the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico could have been prevented. Personally I would just ban oil tankers to cross the oceans and such but thenI get that it is a job and places all over the world need oil for certain things. But im tired of looking up stuff for oil spills, I hate looking and seeing poor innocent animals who have done no harm to us end up in oil becuase they can lose their eye sight, the oil gets quite heavy and brings them down and they end up dying. its horrible.
