Burn It Up!

I always thought that burning the oil would be helpful to the environment, but boy was I wrong! Burning the oil sends off pollutants into the air and can harm many spieces of plants and animals.

^ here is a picture of all of the black smoke coming from burning the oil.

Black smoke is never good, like when you burn plastic in your campfire. You know how much it stinks right? Imagine this. This is about 100x bigger than a  regular campfire and in the middle of the ocean! When the oil burns, some of it sinks and covers many animals with its harmful gunk.

^ deep sea coral located near the Gulf of Mexico, covered in oil
Coral, fish and many other sea and land animals are dying or bieng born deformed because of this massive oil spill. This is a real problem for some people because when they go to eat the fish and other animals from the ocean they can get oil poisoning and this can do the same thing that happens to the fish. death and possibly, deformation.
